With this being the 20th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series, as much as I would like to have Kingdom Hearts 4 announced, I have a feeling that is a way down the road. So instead I want to pitch some ideas of games to help fill the void until, at least, the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4. I came up with two ideas and we will start the least likely of the two.

A game I would honestly like to see is a Aqua and Kairi game. I know Aqua has already had her time in the spotlight but it would be interesting to see her in more direct mentor position and could be a chance to give Kairi the spotlight. Would also be a good time to re-introduce some worlds from the Birth by Sleep series as well as get some updates on the rest of the cast. Another thing that could work with this series is a tag-team like function where you could switch between the Aqua and Kairi to solve certain puzzles and perform some awesome combos. This game would be a long shot but I think if we included Aqua in the mix there would be a better chance than just a solo Kairi game.

The other game idea I came up with is a set in the time between the Union X and Birth by Sleep for the console. I know there is the Darkest Road game on mobile but I would like to explore some of the earlier times in the series. I feel like the time between the end of Union X and Darkest Road would work well as it would give us some story and lore that may of build up more of the role of the Keyblade wielders post Keyblade war.

I personally think either of these ideas would be games to carry us over until Kingdom Hearts 4, but will have to wait until April for any news to be released.
